Re: NYT and pkt seminar

I call the attention of the pkt network to two items . In the just published
(Winter1994-1995) issue of the JPKE there is a mini-symposium on "IS Demand
Management Policy Viable?" with contributions by Bob Eisner, Steve Fazzari,
Jamie Galbraith, Jan Kregel, Warren Samuels, Randy Wray, and Gerald Epstein-
with the orthodox position taken by an initial article by Steven Cunningham and
Jon Vilasuso. Some may want to see the arguments of classical "free Market"
positions spelled out and how others "attempt" to refute these arguments.
There is also a session at the ASSA meetings in Washinton DC on
"Is Keynesian Policy Still Viable?" It was organized by Randy Wray and Dimtri
Papadimitriou and includes papers by Paul Davidson, Steve Fazzari, Jan Kregel,
and Randy Wray with H Minsky as the discussant. It is on Jan 7 (Saturday)
at 2:30PM in the Washington Hilton hotel - Map Room.
Have a good day!____Paul Davidson
