Upcoming EU referendum in Norway - opinion update
Here is the situation in the Norw. EU opinion on the upcoming EU
referendum. Opinion polls are now made daily, and this will be the
case until the EU membership referendum on Mon 28. The first table
below is the same as I have posted earlier, showing the situation on
Tuesday, but with another company, Scan-Fact, added:
YES NO Source
37(+6) 45(+1) Norw. "Gallup" Co.
Tue. 40(+5) 48(+2) "Opinion" Co.
42(+4)* 58(-4) MMI Co.
46* 54 "Scan-Fact" Co.
* These poll numbers are given excluding the undecided group,
f. inst. 58 + 42 = 100%.
The changes in parentheses signify the progress for the YES vote
due to the Swedish YES from Sunday, since the last polls before those
listed in the above table were done before the Swedish referendum.
Scan Fact changes were not available.
Now to the situation on Thursday:
YES NO Source
37 47 Norw. "Gallup" Co.
Thu. - NA - "Opinion" Co.
44* 56 MMI Co.
46* 54 "Scan-Fact" Co.
Then to the situation on Friday, i.e. today:
YES NO Source
38(+1) 44(-3) Norw. "Gallup" Co.
Fri. - NA - "Opinion" Co.
43(-1)* 57(+1) MMI Co.
45(-1)* 55(+1) "Scan-Fact" Co.
If we compare figures from the same company for Thu and Fri (see
parentheses), we see that the situation has stabilized. The impact of
the Swedish YES seems to have spent itself. The last few percents for
the YES side will probably (and for me, hopefully) be very hard to win.
Btw, error margins for each poll (1000 - 1400 respondents usually) is
around 2% each way.
Cheers,
Trond

Numbers in parentheses indicate change from last poll by same company,
in this case they also indicate the effect of the Swedish YES on Norw.
opinion.
* The MMI poll numbers are given excluding the undecided group, 58 + 42 = 100%.
