Re: On Socialization & Darwinian Processes
Since Veblen and the old institutionalism's views on evolutionary processes
have been mentioned and some interest indicated; I would like
to note a forthcoming article in the December JEI entitled
"Evolutionary Economics and Cultural Hermeneutics: Veblen, Cultural Relativism,
and Blind Drift," (by Ann Jennings and Bill Waller) which reinterpret and
partially reformulates Veblenian approaches to evolutionary economics and
cultural change. The article addresses several issues raised in this strand
from an "old" institutional perspective.
