Herb,
In contemporary sociobiology we, as human organisms, are ultimately
vehicles for our "selfish genes." Of course, sociobiologists can
explain the altruistic behavior of worker bees (who do not reproduce
directly) as ultimately selfish behavior of their genes. The superiority
of the genes of some is argued to be the cause of economic and political
inequality. Can you explain to me how the contemporary sociolbiolgy
does not have ideological/political implications of social darwinism?
I have a list of sociobiological texts and papers, I would appreciate
receiving your updated list.
