BTW, one of the things I don't like about the "rent-seeking"
literature is its almost-total focus on "special interests"
seeking rents by seeking special privileges from government.
In fact, it's quite possible to seek rents inside the market.
Individual capitalists do it all the time, seeking to monopolize
their markets, etc.
