Oops! Maybe I gave Dave Colander kudos too soon! Despite Krugman's desire to
appear to be different, (after all how does one win a Nobel Prize if one
doesn't tout one's horn as being new and innovative while still coming down
for the old homilies), Krugman is pure classical orthodoxy! Despite my theoreti
cal arguments with people like Jim Tobin and Bob Solow the latters's common
sense usually provides acceptable to good policy advice. (See the letter they
organized to President Bush in March 1992.)
