Krugman, despite an occasional kinky theorem, seems to offer utterly
conventional policy advice, and his war on Laura Tyson was a disgrace on
both an intellectual and personal level. And Stiglitz? What has he done
for us latey? I tried several times to interview him, to ask him what his
theoretical work meant for policy, but he didn't return repeated messages
left with his secretary. I hope he had nothing to do with the box in the
1994 ERP defending Say's law in all but name.
