Some ideas for new lists

Dear PKTers,
I need some feedback from you. I'm thinking of starting two new electronic
lists. The first would be Philosophy of Economics and Methodology (POEM)
and the other would be History of Economic Thought (HET). I'm on a
committee with the History of Economic Society whose task is to think of how
we can allow our members to take advantage of the electronic age and so I
can see the HET network as part of that organization. The society is
planning to take on a major project of doing a comprehensive study of the
history of American economics and so the list could help getting scholars
together in working on the project and hopefully other projects. Also with Pat
Norton and John Adams we are exploring forming a network for Eastern
Economic Association members (What I'm hoping is that this really will
allow members to give their feedback of where they want the Assoc. to go
and the type of programs they want to see at our meetings and to carry on
research projects through the Assoc.) I've also talked to Fred Moseley
of maybe forming a network for URPE. But what I'm interested here is what
you think about forming two new networks (POEM) and (HET). Since copyright
laws are lifted from old texts I can see through HET where you can
get copies or check passages from our classical writers and next year
we should have new and exciting services to offer you through hypertext
that will allow you to do cross-referencing over the net. So what do you
think?
