Dear Friends: I am sending this message on behalf of a colleague Prof.
Ramprasad Sengupta who is seeking a temporary teaching/research position
in US universities.  He is available at the earliest date July 1994 or
the latest by July 1995.  He is seeking a visiting position from one year
to two years.

Prof. Sengupta from the Centre for Economic Studies and
Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi is interested in
seeking a short-term (1-2 year) position in some North American
universities.  He has asked me to explore the possibility.  Since I am
not involved formally with any Economics Dept. I would appreciate your
suggestions as to how I might go about exploring the possibility?

Sengupta is a very qualified senior economist.  His work has been
largely in the area of planning, economic modelling, and industrial
economics.  Teaching areas include Theory of Growth, Optimization
Theory, Indian planning, Energy Resource and Development Economics, and
Classical Political Economy.  He has been a senior adviser to the Planning
Commission, Government of India.
