Paul,
Far be it for me to claim "nonlinearities are well-behaved"
or "desirable equilibria are stable" and I most certainly did not
do so. All the more reason why it may be necessary for governments
to intervene to PUSH (if possible) economies towards more desirable
equilibria and to KEEP PUSHING in order to keep them there!
