Re Herb Gintis' aside on Marxism not producing anything useful in
the last X years. In general I agree; though you say you've stopped
"doing Marxism" since you realised you spent your timne defending the
faith rather than producing anything new, I would appreciate your
comments on a coupke of papers I've had published recently on that area
in the Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Vol. 15 Nos. 1 & 2,
entitled "Use-value, exchange-value, and the demise of the labor theory
of value" and The misinterpretation of Marx's theory of value". Both
were derived from a Masters thesis in which your 1981 work with Sam Bowles
featured (though no references occur to it in theb above).
