All my students get microeconomics from orthodox folks. Part of my
purpose in teaching is to (1) speak in a language that students
understand and (2) convince them that some of the crap they learned
is nonsense. My primary aim is to encourage critical thinking.
If they end up with a somewhat incoherent mix of Walrasianism and
my dynamic-disequilibrium perspective, I have faith that their
experience in the real world (a redundant phrase, but so be it).
will tilt them in my direction. Note: hardly any of my students go
onto graduate school in economics.
sincerely,
