capital critique
Some months ago there was an exchange (I think it was on this network)
on teaching the capital controversy to undergraduate students. Needless
to say, I didn't keep the postings. Now I am teaching 2nd year
micro theory and would like to introduce the topic, in part because
I teach 3rd year labour economics and want to raise the same objection
to the treatment of heterogeneous human capital as is raised with
physical capital.
I would, therefore, like suggestions as how to teach the capital
controversy (alternatively, critical views of marginal productivity
theory) in a meaningful way at the 2nd year level. References would
also be welcome.
