| Greetings Economists, That link would be the beginning of the debate about what shapes sexuality. The assumption that female behavior is such and such when it is not. The child didn't feel like doing things that way that the parents and doctor considered female and everyone forced and coerced the child to fit a mold. The problem with the mold is well known, but the issue is why these views of social molds or frameworks are taken seriously? The child or person can choose from the available options in the society around them what they want to do. And if the adults resist that to defend a social model does not mean the choices the child made are not social. Sexual activity is not tied to social roles in that way. One is not born into a role so to speak any more than than a child is born to speak only chinese and that is what fails in this experiment that it is assumed that being born (trained as infant) into a role determines who you are. The rebellion of this boy does not say the child could not help being a male. It says you can't dictate to individuals what they will end up doing by the cultural norms we practice now. The givens of female and male behavior are not realistic representations of real human potentials. thanks, Doyle Saylor On May 26, 2009, at 9:17 PM, David B. Shemano wrote: You want evidence?
