This is quite fascinating (and important) from a number of perspectives.
But given her work on this, is it not abut time to give Rhonda Shearer
her nam  rather than (in the subject line) leave her in the anonymous
position of "Stephen Jay Gould's widow"? In fact, in her comment she
seems to make this move herself. She begins by discarding a role as
"Steve's Torchbearer" and shifts to her (i.e. Rhonda Shearer's) role in
a year-long investigation. Hence the liberty I have taken of changing
the subject line.
