Micro topics are easier than macro ones when it comes to econometrics.
How about some sort of regression of the prevalence of some disease
that's associate with pollution? You could also add dummy variables
for ethnicity. This would be a test of the "environmental justice"
theory (minorities & poor people get the brunt of the deadly impact of
pollution).
