Yes, the farm lobby likes this.  The also the young Cubans in this
country are not viciously anti-Castro.  I wanted to ask Finkelstein last
night if it is possible that the young Israelis are more rational about
coexistence than their crazy elders.

speaking of which, BHO is moving quickly on weakening sanctions
against Cuba and seems to be getting bipartisan support. It feels like
a log-jam suddenly broke. It's as if the Bushwhackers went much too
far in anti-Cuban measures (compared to what's dictated by the balance
of political power on this issue in the US) at the same time the
balance tilted increasingly against sanctions.
