Re: [Pen-l] the annoy-a-meter
I'ave gotten along nicely since the spring of 1965 by nevere listeing to
or watching on TV any president, vice-president, presidential candidate,
congressman, governor or local dog catcher. As far as I can tell I have
missed nothing except the annoyance of having the bad news come directly
to me wrapped in shit rather than hearing it second hand on rdueced to
soundbites by co-werkers, taxi cab drivers, relatives, or hastily
glance-at headlines. By the time I see it in print a year later filtered
into some jurnal article, it's both much more timely and more
intelligible.
