If you’ve been following the news about Wall Street, you’ll know that
American taxpayers have funneled 13 billion dollars into Goldman-Sachs
via AIG. Along with some other major financial institutions, Goldman
received 100 percent of the value of the insurance they took out on
their risky securitized real estate bets. Meanwhile Goldman states that
they intend to pay back the 10 billion dollars they received in TARP
funds since they don’t want anything to interfere with the obscene
salaries and bonuses they hand out to their top executives.
