I don't have much to add to Leiter's comment below the posted poll results. I will say, leaving aside the obvious self-selecting bias against French philosophy, that I find it mind-boggling that anybody but maybe -- maybe -- Wittgenstein beats Hegel. I would disagree on LW, but it seems to this humble wannabe that his is the only other plausible case to be made. 

What a bizarre list. But I guess really that's what these things are for, right? Taking the temperature of a certain group of people. We learn more about them than we do about who we should be reading.

Your boy Karl got past my man, the big H, but is currently losing to my boys Quine(*) and Russell. Its heart-warming that 3 of the top 5 are mathematicians/logicians and the top one could almost be considered one! Sweet! ;-)
