maybe the post office is efficient, and more efficient than FedEx (and
UPS too?) But (even using a narrow economic definition) it's not the
model of efficiency, is it?

I agree that the post office is pretty good these days. The mail seems
to be running faster than it used to.

BTW, who was it who said that socialism would be organized like the
modern post office? I think Lenin quoted someone.
