Re: [Pen-l] Marx and Keynes redux

Doug, have you written about Keynes?

In one of my periodic re-readings of the General Theory I'm finding little gems, like an explicit reference to providing an "answer to Marx."

And of course "euthanasia of the rentier" and "ideas" being more important than "vested interests."

Seems to offer much ground for further critical reflection.

Thanks for your reply.

Is there a successor to Paul Mattick's 1969 work?

I tried reading that book 10 years ago, and gave up because it seemed
rather boring & pointless. I took another look the other day and had a
similar reaction. Am I missing something?

I'm pretty critical of Keynes for not being a Marxist in Wall Street,
but that's probably not what you're looking for.
