FWIW, that fits with BHO's multilateralist tilt, since a lot of US
allies talk to Hamas.
As Sara Roy pointed out in an interview on my radio show yesterday (to
be posted to the archive later today), this is less of a change than
it appears, because the Bush admin talked with Hamas privately. A
public acknowledgment is different, of course, but not as different as
Obama enthusiasts hope.
And how about the appointment of the awful Dennis Ross as ME envoy?
Straight out of the AIPAC rolodex.
