I'll take this as a confirmation of my hypothesis that Ted (and
Carrol) were the only readers who actually got to that part of my
post, in spite of the very catchy subject line.  :-)

[I've kind of disliked emotikons so far, but after the latest
exchanges I've had here, I'm starting to see the point of using them.]
