I think that a lot of "progressives" put a political con job over
themselves. Anyone who saw him as more than a representative of the
marginally leftish wing of the capitalist political establishment was
fooling themselves.

He's better than John McCain, but who would want "He's better than
John McCain" as an epitaph? It's up there with "more talented than
John Tesh" or "made cars better than GM."
