Hal Turner is not the most reliable source of information, but there is some
factual basis in this case. The Council on Foreign Relations has been
promoting the idea of "a deep integration" of Canada, the US and Mexico.
See, for example
http://www.hollings.org/Content/CFR-BuildingANorthAmericanCommunity.pdf.
And, in fact, steps are being taken in that direction -- for example
Rumsfeld met with his Canadian and Mexican counterparts on the subject of
establishing a "common defense perimeter". It is believed that a dialectical
approach will be employed to bring about public acceptance of the idea:
following a deep economic crisis the integration will be proposed to restore
US economic competitiveness -- the integration would improve access to cheap
Mexican labor and Canadian raw materials. Much more can be found on the
Internet with "North American Union," "Amero" and "Security and Prosperity
Partnership" as key words.

Friends from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain are sending me
links to this weird video, and asking me about it. It's making the
rounds on the Spanish-speaking Internets. I don't know a thing about
this guy or this supposed conspiracy to de-monetize the USD. He seems
like a deranged right-winger to me. I'll appreciate leads.
