FWIW, the repeal of G-S was not just a GOP project (Gramm, McCain,
etc., armed with "libertarian" rhetoric). It happened under the DP's
watch (Clinton) while it was promoted by Rubin (Clinton's SecTreas).
Of course, Citi helped abolish it by finding loopholes and exploiting
them.
