quite so. dean/provost at MOS came back from some administrative conference all brimming over with how had finally learned how to get rid of tenured faculty. good times. don't know if he has yet had the opportunity or desire to deploy whatever strategies or mechanisms he was alluding to.

barely surviving -- Carrol Cox at ISU in 1971; I was extremely lucky
that the one-year acting president was a stickler for proper procedure,
so much a stickler that he threatened to resigh. I didn't find that out
till many years later).
