[Pen-l] Shemano on consumer behavior
From: "Jim Devine"
-clip
My main point has been
--- and is --- that there's a difference between the Ekon (the vast
majority of economists, who cling to individualistic metaphysics) and
the more sophisticated members of the profession such as Arrow, Sen, &
Frank, who may not be socialists (as I define the term) but are much
better than the Ekon on the issue of individualistic metaphysics. That
is, much of the official _canon_ of economics (which officially would
include such matters as experimental economics) is not really accepted
by the textbook-writers and most public economists.
^^^^
CB: Nice concept and term that "individualistic metaphysics" .
Like Marx's "Robinsonade" after Robinson Crusoe, the solitary producer.
I'd like to use this thinking through Ekon vs. Arrow , Sen, Gunder
Frank.
