I am a depressed person. That is really not personal. Because the
bad effects are how society treats me. If it sounds like don't ask
don't tell then it walks like a duck. Nor will I duck out when
someone asks me if I am mentally disabled. That reveals bigotry out
in the open. Pushes the debate to a higher level.
You can't talk about community media without grounding in all the
disability issues that are not met by broadcast media. How does one
really broadcast to the whole society? The dichotomy is not either
or, but inclusive.
