Agriculture is by far the worst offender.  Until corn fructose knocked down the 
price of sugar, farmers nearby used to grow irrigated sugar beets -- a ridiculous 
use of water.  California uses irrigation water to grow highly subsidized cotton, 
which causes havoc for African producers ...
