I still remember Pepsi's jingle from that era.

Pepsi Cola hits the spot
12 full ounces, that's a lot
Twice as much for a nickel too,
Pepsi cola is the drink for you.

A six ounce Coke was a nickel, hence the reference.  So, three Cokes  
for 15 cents, but only 18 ounces.  What does a 20 ounce bottle sell  
for now?  I have no idea.
