I salute the efforts of Marxmail and to this very day regularly consult the list. Much of my early on-line experience was with Marxmail and needless to say, I violated all the protocols; was expelled allowed to come back, and treated perhaps more generously by the moderator - Lou, than I could have asked for.

Marxmail is healthy and on this May 1, 2008 I am glad it exists and continues. I have carefully followed the list members contributions on the Obama candidacy. The contributions have enriched the dialogue on the meaning of this presidential election cycle. Lots of good stuff.

The "latest 100 messages" of Marxmail format is an excellent feature.

A personal thanks to Lou for his patience and endurance, which at first does not seem patient at all. The task of moderator is thankless and amounts to a lot of unpaid labor. Then again Marxist List - as does many list, exist in that nebulous domain of valueless production.

Under capitalism this means the moderator(s) foot the bills.
