Generally speaking Mexico, Russia, Norway, are good examples of  
reaching peaks in production.  However, I'm confident from seeing the  
potential of solar heating technology that a switch over from oil is

peak oil as leading to severe irreversible global competition for  
development needs.

Secondly, the rush to nuclear power that some are promoting now seems  
premature in light of solar energy potential.  It is almost a given we  
must return to 'clean' nuclear power is a mantra that needs to be  
looked at more cautiously.
