I'm retired from Illinois State Univ, and have always been quite happy
with the coverage they offer. A couple years ago we were informed that
if we were eligible for Medicare we had to sign up, with the coverage
working as defined below. (They sugar-coated it with rhetoric about how
much better our coverage would be with two plans etc.) I'm not eligible
(yet) because I have no social-security (always worked for the state)
--BUT as soon as my wife becomes eligible, I will have to sign up. And
yet ISU faculty have twice voted no in union elections. Assholes.
