FWIW:

It seems that the new mailing list system has brought to life an older  
subscriber list? Those who want to unsubscribe from the list can also  
follow this procedure:

Visit the list page at:

https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l

Scroll all the way to the bottom, to the section titled "pen-l  
Subscribers". Enter your email address in the last input box and click  
on "Unsubscribe or edit options". In the page that is presented to  
you, in the "Unsubscribe" section, click on the "Unsubscribe" button.

(I do not run, manage, moderate, or hold any official capacity w.r.t  
this list. I am sending the above in the hope that it is of use. If it  
is not, please ignore!)
