Instead, I think that the lack of charm reflects the emptiness. I don't think that
they are aware of the problem. The Republicans ran an worhtless candidate -- Bush --
but they realized that they had to give him an image, which they did successfully.
As a candidate, however, Bush, especially the first campaign, sometimes show humor,
which is totally lacking in the Dems.
Here is Hillary, whose campaign is run by a PR person, & the one time they had her do
something -- cry, but then immediately shift to talking points -- a real sign of
authenticity. But even that quick display was the most effective thing she did.
