Are they any more predictable than most PEN-Lers responses? And I
don't mean that as a criticism. Most people with a coherent political
philosophy have fairly predictable positions on given issues. Not
always, of course; the r2 wouldn't 1.00 if you modeled it. But still,
coherence does imply a certain predictability. There's a kind of hack
journalist that loves "unpredictability" - esp when it's someone from
the left taking a right-wing position. That's not unrelated to what
Lenin called that a vulgar and unprincipled eclecticism.
