The difference is that's not all she does, in criticizing what she criticizes. I suppose Doug does have a criticism or two of Roy's ideas about US imperialism, Indian capitalism, the CPI(M) and the CPI(Maoist), etc. Roy, for instance, opposed the Afghanistan War from the get-go in no uncertain terms, while Doug was hoping for a multilateral, not unilateral, intervention there. But Doug hasn't articulated exactly what his criticism of her politics is. He evidently thinks that's unnecessary, perhaps beneath attention of a serious male intellectual! -- Yoshie
