I'm going to drop this from here on, but I just have to say this is
horseshit. I have not been touting that kind of human rights
activism. I've been creeped out by your apologetics for the Iranian
regime, but I think it's up to Iranians to topple it, as awful as it
is. I've argued that Iran persecutes homosexuals and feminists, and
that it may well condone the stoning of adulterous women, much of
which you want to deny, but that doesn't mean I support some form of
human rights imperialism. I don't. I also forwarded Richard Kim's
excellent Nation piece factchecking the Iranian gay teens story
