I'm impressed with how quickly you read Toor's essay and listened to
that radio show! Thanks for the pointer to it; I was pleased to hear
such a high level of conversation on WBAI, and it validated my
invitation to Toor to appear on my show.
Actually, I can't think of a thing she said in that interview that
I'd disagree with. Not only her critique of the assistance that
western human rights types can give to imperialism, and the damage
they can do to their putative allies in aborad, but also the
wonderful moment where she resisted the host's identification of
herself as Muslim, saying: "I'm a Marxist, a Communist, so I'm
against organized religion in general."
