From way back, my comments on The Baffler:

Now that I am six years wiser and older, I can safely write that their description of themselves can be characterised simply as pomo-bashing (which may count as a positive in the eyes of some, but definitely makes them right-of-center in mine).
Your comments seem appropriate for early editions of The Baffler, but towards the end they were evolving into much more of a serious anticapitalist outlet. Issue number 9 has an article by Doug Henwood and is focused on the question of class, much as the way that a recent MR was.
Doug Henwood? That's the guy who advocates sympathy and understanding towards the bourgeoisie bangalorians (the boston brahmins of India ;-)), isn't he? What sort of class analysis can he really offer!
Kidding aside, thanks to LNP and others for the responses on my post on The Baffler.
