the US had full employment during WW2, without repression of labor (except the radical fringe, natch). Of course, war sacrifices were supported by organized labor, including the CP element (which supported the repression of the radical fringe, natch).

Fascism is needed for _sustained_ full employment, over maybe 10
years, under capitalism.
