Comment on UAW's coming bargaining. What a shame that someone, probably
working class thinks that autoworkers' wages and benefits are "way out of
line".

The pay and benefits of both top management and the UAW are way out of line
in this global economy. Top management is paid about 200 times what the
average line worker is paid. In Europe it is 30 times the average line
worker and much less in Asia. $ 74 per/hr pay and benefits for an unskilled
UAW worker is ridiculous. Look what a UAW gets in benefits: 1. Free legal
service 2. 95% pay and full benefits on layoff 3. 17 paid holidays 4. Five
weeks paid vacation (20 + years) 5. Paid college education 6. A $ 2.00
co-pay on Rx drugs 7. Gold std. in health care benefits 8. Full pension at
30 yrs. 9. Jackpot buyouts 10. Overtime pay at 1.5x and 2x 11. Sick and
medical leave pay 100% It seems most of the American people are buying
foriegn name vehicles. I will not buy a vehicle from GM, F, or DCX and
subsidize these outrageous pay and benefits.
