All? You mean those debates between Rosa Luxemburg and Edward
Bernstein didn't happen?

I'm not saying that Anderson engages in crude
base-superstructure constructions.  I am saying that
an analysis of shifting class relations of the sort
Anderson provides, while useful and enlightening, is
not sufficient for grasping such a big, broad notion
like the transition from antiquity to feudalism.


I am happy to see you backpedal from a rather extreme position.
