Hmm - would a WPA like program (without the horrible conditions WPA often subjected people to) really be obsolete? In the absence of an organized left, it is not on the agenda. But if we ever are able to build a movement again would we really rule it out as a demand? Or are you simply saying that limiting it to cities is obsolete; if so that was true even in Harvey Milk's time.
