Fine; I'm not an apologist for any regime. I wish Cuba didn't
imprison dissidents; I also wish it didn't have the US 90 miles
offshore breathing down its neck.
Amnesty reports that Cuba has 72 "prisoners of conscience." It also
reports that Iran executes more people than that in a year; arrests
people for merely being Christian or Ba'hai; fires into crowds of
Arabs and Kurds demonstrating for their rights; etc. etc.
