Re: Spenglerianism from an unlikely quarter
The identification of Greece & Rome with "The West" is mostly a modern
invention. What validity it has comes from the split between the Greek
Orthodox & Roman Churches. "The West" (in myth and in reality) should
probably be regarded as a creation of capitalist imperialism, only
300=500 years old, if that. Also it is a bit odd to identify Greece &
Rome as a continuity.
