This is true enough (and one of the reasons I refuse to vote even for
the most progressive DP candidates), but you ignore an even more
important task: Recruiting the army to make such slogans as "No More
Business As Usual" anything more than empty posturing. And urging people
to send letters to Congress (though not as useful as signing _and
circulating_ petitions) is almost always one element in the struggle to
move people to opposition. That first step into political activism isn't
very active (or objectively of any use), but it is the first step for
millions.
