Not in my case ;-). I accept only session cookies from any site other
than ones I trust or where the convenience of more permanent cookies is
really worth it. For sites like NY Times, Mozilla Firefox's built-in
password management tool suffices for not having to remember your
password (if you must know what the password is, the password manager
will reveal it to you). MacOS X Safari has a similar feature. As does
Konqueror.

Note that cookies do not travel with you, such as when you have to use a
public computer or someone else's, nor are most of them permanent. It's
a good idea to actually know your password (and save it using some
encryption tool -- such as the built-in one provided by ... you guessed
it, Mozilla Firefox ;-)).

Statutory Flame-Deflector: using open source in no way guarantees the
glorious revolution but is not known to be harmful to pregnant women or
operators of heavy equipment.
